Sometimes the issue with anthologies is that I find is that I only enjoy a couple of the stories. Yet, with this anthology that was not the issue. I enjoyed the majority of them stories in this one. Of course, my favorite authors did not disappoint with their contributions...Lasairiona McMaster, Victoria Denault, and Sierra Hill.

The other authors I have heard their names or are new to me and it was great to be introduced to their worlds from their various series or new series. I was intrigued enough to read out full length books from these authors. A nice variety of stories for all types of readers.… (plus d'informations)

Jami Davenport hits it in the net with OFF-SEASON (Scoring #6). After a disappointing loss in the second round of the playoffs, Seattle Sockeyes rookie Andy Staples decides to do some soul searching. He chooses to spend time alone camping in an RV in the off season, his only company, his dog, Bones. He didn’t plan on meeting Kennedy, brand ambassador for Journey RVs.

Andy is half-brothers with Gage Ziegler (Scoring #5). I recommend reading Gage’s story first. Andy and Gage have a rocky relationship. Nobody on the team knows why they hate each other, and that they are brothers. I enjoyed reading Andy’s viewpoint of their situation growing up. He does a lot of growing up in this story.

I like Kennedy and Andy. They are a fantastic couple with intense chemistry. The only problem is they want different things in their lives. Kennedy thrives on a nomadic lifestyle filled with adventure. Andy wants to settle down in one place and have a stable home; something he didn’t have while growing up. I have always wanted to travel using an RV. I learned a lot about RVing by reading this story.

OFF-SEASON was a heartfelt and entertaining read. The book was skillfully written with endearing characters. I am looking forward to “Caveman” Flint’s story next, DELAYED PENALTY (Scoring #7) I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.… (plus d'informations)

A Star-Crossed Christmas by V.L. Locey
Very sweet story of second chances and taking a childhood friendship to another level. I've not read the series this book is attached to but it had no impact on my enjoyment.


Dallas Christmas by RJ Scott - Lovely second chance romance. This one made me tear up at times.

Holding On Tight by Susan Scott Shelley - Established couple celebrating their first Christmas together and everything goes wrong. No need to have read their previous story (although I'm curious enough to consider picking it up). Slightly angsty with a HEA.

Jami Davenport wins the FACEOFF (Scoring #5). Seattle Sockeyes bad-boy Gage “Ziggy” Ziegler and reality TV star Darcy Engstrom pretend to date each other to help each other out; him to save his reputation and her to save her show. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

I like Gage. He loves attention. He has a big heart. He has blown his finances because his family takes advantage of him. Darcy is a fun heroine. She was raised in foster care. She is the girl-next-door that everyone loves. She wants to be an interior designer but has become a reality star. I love the friendship they develop. They have great chemistry. The two are well developed characters that grow throughout the story.

FACEOFF is skillfully written. There are some good life lessons in the book. There are a lot of interesting drama and secrets throughout the story. The novel fits in great with the rest of the series. I recommend this book to people who enjoy sports romances and/or fake boyfriend/girlfriend romances.
