An unusually tasteful collection of small and a few large Christmas cross stitch designs. Among the unusual patterns are square motifs based on carols with the words round the edge, 24 small Advent motifs, Currier & Ives style sleighs realistically rendered in miniature, St Nicholas, half-timbered winter houses, Christmas robins, some very graceful angels and Victorian Christmas trees, beautifully rendered greenery. If I was going to keep one book of Christmas cross stitch (which, due to space constraints, I am not), this would be the chosen book.… (plus d'informations)
Love this book! The patterns are so easy and don't take long. So far I've knitted the sheep (lovely looped stich for the sheep's coat), a rose brooch (that still needs to be fulled - but looks great anyway) and the child's sweater on the front cover.
An excellent reference book for beginning and advanced knitters.
