Historical romance is near the bottom of my "must read" genres. So as much as I am a fan of Aleks' work I was a bit leery of this one. I tend to expect great things from Mr. Voinov. As with a good amount of his work the only thing I can complain about is the length of the story. This peek into the lives of William and Robert was short but complete in it's emotional growth and sincerity. I would love to see more scenes from this story ;)

Reading historical books for me is always a challenge and finding one that keeps me interested till the end is very rare...
that said "The Lion of Kent" entered that short list rightfully!

I really enjoyed the byplay of the various characters and, most of all, I liked the way William and Robert fitted each other so well while being so different!
