Very interesting tale of a master sword-smith who decides to destroy all his hand-made blades after he loses his family to a man wielding sword of his own making.

It is a well paced story (some might say it is a little bit slow) about the man who reaches the great riches and fame and then comes down to earth in a very bad way. Haunted by loss of his family he tries to redeem himself but more than anything he wishes to end his life and join his family once more in after-life. We follow him as he wanders through the world seeking people that bought his blades. He buys the swords back (sometimes at greatly inflated prices) and even fights to get them back.

As I said story is very interesting but what deducted one star from my rating is quality of art. Some parts are good but some are not to my liking. Art is sometimes very cartoonish, but in parts it is over stiff and sometimes it looks like a sketch made in haste.

If it had more consistent art this would be full 5 star story.

In any case give it a shot, art might not be the greatest but story is very good.

I'll say the same as others are saying. The stories are fun, but way too short (I'd rather see a single issue devoted to a single good story), and rely too much on the last panel wow factor.

The art is all over the place from bland to fantastic.

I picked this book off Hoopla to fill a reading challenge. I needed an X titled graphic novel and I didn’t want to read X-men. The cover was all black so I had no idea what to expect. It was very much like the lost world. A marine science crew is looking into a strange animal that has washed up on the beach. They board a research vessel and go looking for more. Well they find it, but they also find themselves in a bad situation when their ship sinks and they end up on a remote island. But this is not just any remote island. Nothing is family, not even the animals. They are out of place, or maybe out of time, and for sure, finding alien habitats. This GN wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good enough to have me finish the series (plus the next book is not on Hoopla, and I am not willing to pay for it.
