Once this work is relaunched, I highly recommend you check out MarcoAntonio and Amaryllis for its' authenticity relative to the time frame, the careful and successful implementation and execution of interest in all the characters, and the truthful resolution in which she gave and how delicately she interwoven everyone's destinies. This is not one's typical Romeo and Juliet scenario, but filled with characters whose stories you can relate to and whose internal struggles will capture your hearts.

Through time, from past to present day, Science and Religion seem to be at odds with each other. On one hand, it is strongly believed that elements of God should not be tampered with by the hands of Man, even if the hands of Man serve to improve what Nature has provided.

Why would a God see destruction occur on Earth and not step in to save it? Is it really as simple as the premise of “Fate” or a “Revelation” foretold in a book?

What if this tragedy was designed, in order to have science collaborate with the concept of Salvation in order to provide a peaceful resolve?

These are the questions I asked myself while, and even after, reading “Earth 8-8-2: The Genesis Project”.

Dr. Scott serves as a version of God (or even a modern day Dr. Frankenstein), creating this hybrid being designed to be a futuristic rendition of Jesus Christ (named Genesis)—whose purpose is to save his Earth by being a central weapon in the Rebellion's cause.

As time goes on, Dr. Scott’s role in the Rebellion and his role as being Genesis’ father become tangled. He knows what he has designed Genesis for. However, like a father seeing his daughter off to do bigger and better things, Dr. Scott is not quite prepared to let go, nor is equipped to deal with what Genesis experiences during her sea of rapid maturity.

Then, you have Genesis who is going through her own turbulence. This reminded me of one being the next heir to a royal throne, without being given a choice in the matter.

At first Genesis seemed willing to follow along and consigned to her purpose, but when tragedy begins to strike in different directions, it generates a deeper questioning. When Genesis’ inner turmoil bubbles, then gushes, the denoument is a peace and purpose that can only be obtained when one has reached the threshold.

Or, in the words of Popeye the Sailor, “I can’t stands it no more!”

“Earth 8-8-2: The Genesis Project” is many things. It’s a twist on a story of Science in Its attempt to save the world. It’s the examination of a modern rendition of Dr. Frankenstein and how he relates to what he’s created. It’s the intensity of raw emotions and how they are channeled by a newly created being. It is the culmination to this summit: Are there times when science should just let nature do its thing? Also, what happens when the very elements you thought you could control … you find out much too late, you cannot.

What a phenomenal science-fiction read! I cannot wait to see how everything turns out.… (plus d'informations)
