If you are a Jimmy Buffett fan and are going to Key West for the first time make sure you read this book before you go. In this book there are over 30 locations and coaches few colorful characters that Corcoran list as places Jimmy hung out at and people he knew. Some are still there, some are gone but he does give locations for most of the places he lists.

Sadly this was the last book in this extremely enjoyable series, as well as the last book the author wrote before dying from cancer in 2023.
I highly recommend the series but start with the first book. The Mango Opera.
The lead character Alex is a very likable photographer and part time detective and all of the books take place in Key West.
Was a friend and co song writer for Jimmy Buffett and a photographer for as number of his album covers.

A good Key West pulp fiction read. AR moved out of Key West and up Island. Not as attractive and descriptive as Key West. Another cast of characters quickly drawn and put up for consideration as murderer or potential victim. A few too many girlfriends in this one and not enough descriptive scenery but still a good read.

The rare 4.5 detective novel. Well balanced and told. A complex story but I could follow it not referring back to previous pages. Full of atmosphere and people that didn't need too much explaining. Corcoran had sharp comments and retorts from his characters and metaphors that were not worn. The novel didn't end too fast and I was guessing to the last page. Even AR was not too perfect in his imperfections and him getting the girl at the end wasn't as tiresome as it usually is. TC's 4th and best Rutledge story. You can see him getting better at writing.… (plus d'informations)
