Finally a book that lives up to the hype :) If you are a fan of Tom Clancy (I am personally a long time fan of all of his books) then you will love this guy too.. For a first book it's an awesome story - well written, lots of action, great plots and I already love this new character called "Cooch".

What a disappointment. I Fell in love with "Cooch" in the first book and in this one he has disappeared under a SUIT and turned into an advocate of education for the muslins (to stop the global terrorism of the Jihadists). All talk and NO action.. bah!!

Excellent! Interesting characters, well fleshed out so you could understand what made them tick. Alex's father, now disabled, is a war hero, and Alex's mother has Beduoin ancestry - an interesting mixture. Alex is clearly very bright, but not really achieving as expected, and showing all the signs of going off the rails to a bad future. As the story unfolds Alex's terrible past experiences understandably affect his later decision making and behaviour. This was fast paced and exciting, and in some respects worryingly in line with some of today's global concerns.

I will definitely want to read future books by Robert Cook. Highly recommended.

Another Al-Qaeda plot to thwart.
