Nancy Clark, a Simmons College graduate, is director of Nutrition Services at SportsMedicine Brookline in Boston, Massachusetts. Clark, who specializes in nutrition for exercise, is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Dietetic Association and a member of Sports and afficher plus Cardiovascular Nutritionists. Using her expertise in sports nutrition, Clark has written numerous articles for magazines and has written the books Nancy Clark's Sports Nutrition Guidebook and The New York Marathon Cookbook. In addition, Clark has consulted on sports nutrition with various athletes, including Olympic skater Kitty Caruther, PGA golfer Brad Faxon, and tennis player Tim Mayotte. I loved the story premise. The writing style was not my favorite; it is a bit old fashioned, and yet, it fits the tone of the book. It was a nice read

This was by no means a terrible book. I actually think that I may go back to it at some point. The story just didn't grab me and I drifted off to read other things.

Not the train wreck bore of Away from Home but less effervescent than The Hills at Home. July and August has lots of charm and humor but it really needed a good editor.
