Melissa Mouse is the story about a mouse who gets messages each month in her cupboard. These messages are well-known sayings that somehow pertain to her life. The purpose of this story is to explain the meanings of various sayings to children. I have always loved this book. It was one of my favorites growing up. I loved that she and I had the same name. One thing that I love about this book is the personification of the mouse. I love that she dresses warmly for the winter, wears a floatation device to swim, and goes walking in the rain with an umbrella just like a human would. I also love how the book explains well-known sayings to children. For example, Melissa Mouse gets a message in her cupboard that says “never put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” Melissa Mouse is supposed to go on vacation accompanied by Percy the pig. Each day they are scheduled to leave, Percy comes up with another reason that they cannot travel; the first day is too hot, the second day is too cold. Melissa Mouse finally decides that she has to go on vacation without Percy because you should “never put off tomorrow what you can do today.”… (plus d'informations)

Robby wants to help his father very badly but a lot of things seem to go wrong, till Robby accidentally helps his father create a chocolate rabbit. This book was short and sweet but i really enjoyed it.
