Another A !!

as with all the books in this series it was great fun. catching up with old friends and all that. I must say that I do adore young Cooper. he seems to be the instigator/mischief maker of most the romances in this series. I'm holding out hope when the series gets to the end, we may be blessed with a story of grown Cooper falling in love. keep in mind this is a novella and not a full fleshed novel, so it's quick. However there are tons of familiar faces, Cooper related hijinx, and lots of love in all its forms; family, friendship, etc.... This is the thing to read if you need a quick hit of happiness and laughter but not much time. I plan on re-reading the series From the start pretty soon. these cast of characters never get old in my book!… (plus d'informations)

Book 6 of Morna’s Legacy ends with Callum MacCristy returning to Cagair castle in 1649 to smell smoke. Book 7, Love Beyond Belief find him running to find the castle on fire, his friend stabbed and a baby crying in a cottage that is also on fire. Running to save the baby, he almost dies himself from smoke inhalation and a burn on his leg. Collapsing with the baby he sees a woman who appears to be calling down rain to put the fire out.
The process of rebuilding the castle brings the Morna’s Legacy cast of characters (both from the past and present) to help. Working on the castle by day in 1649, they come forward to the modern day at night. Time travel takes place using a secret stairway. Almost like an escalator at the mall – you go down the stairs in the past and come up in the present/future.
Previous books have found modern day women going into the past to meet handsome Scottish warriors as loving husbands. In a bit of a turn, this book finds the handsome Scot coming in to the future (to him) to find his true love. He had “dreamed” about her but now she shows up as a real woman who has been hired to cook for the guests at the current Cagair castle which is planned as an inn. Unfortunately, no one is quite sure how she received the email hiring her since it wasn’t written.
Once again, this book tells a delightful tale of a magical place where past and present meet for people to find love. In the past, Callum must find out who tried to burn his castle and kill the parents of the small baby that he managed t save. Additionally, Morna (for the first time) seems worried about another witch and her powers.
As the 7th book in the series, I found it fit well with the previous 6 books but I don’t think it is a book that could be easily read on its own. Even I had to go back and reread book 6 to refamiliarize myself with the characters.
If you enjoy Highlander romances and time travel stories this is the best of both worlds and I would highly recommend the entire series.

I had previously read this book and this time I listened to the audio version. The narrator, Lily Collingwood adds so much to the already amazing story by giving the characters voices filled with emotions.
Gillian is a painter who has walled off her emotions, yet she dreams of a handsome man she never met. When he shows up at the Castle, with no memories, they both feel the pull of emotions.
The scene in which Orick meets Cooper and all his memories come back is filled with emotions. Everyone had thought Orick was dead and to find that a person you loved was still alive brings a tear to your eyes.
This series has been filled with one amazing book after another but the twist of friends being reunited makes this the best book in the series to date.
If you haven't read Bethany Claire's books you should. Each book stands alone but you'll want to read them all

Five years ago Kamden proposed to Harper and she refused. She then left McMillan castle wondering if he'd come looking for her but he never did. This year, while on her way to visit her grandparents, Harper is stranded in a snowstorm and the nearest place she could go is McMillan castle. At the castle, Kamden is alone, having sent all the workers home for the holidays early to avoid the horrible weather, One of the last couples to tour the castle was Morna and her husband Jerry. Morna is about to make a Christmas miracle for this lovely couple.
In a departure from her usual matchmaking, Morna is determined to reunite 2 people from the present time by sending them into the past both near (5 years ago when they broke up) and far (to the McMillan castle of the 17th century). While I love all the previous books in the series mixing couples from past and present, it is a nice break to see two people from the present joined and make peace with their past.
This is a lovely quick read and you don't need to have read the other books in the series to enjoy this one.
