This is the story of a young girl who finds that high school is not fun when you are being picked on. She talks her mother into experimenting with homeschooling. Doing so, introduces her to new friends and old enemies.

This is a very unusual story. I found the pace to be rather decent. The slower sections where short. This is not a thriller style paced book. You won’t be riveted to your seat, but you will want to know more.

I found the story interesting. Of course, some things were hard to believe that they would really happen, but this is a fiction story. Anything can happen. What I did like the most was the fact that everything was character developing. The events didn’t just shape the main character, but also those around her.

Overall, the story was okay. The characters were entertaining and unique. Readers could relate to so many of them from their own high school days.

I have to say that this wasn’t one of my favorite books. The writing was good, but just not my style. I do love the creativity of the writer. There are some minor words. This is not something that I would suggest my ten year old to read, but I could see my older teenagers reading it. It has many lessons to learn and is one that could be used to teach relationships.

I would suggest giving this book a try. It is one that I see a lot of potential and can see why so many people like it.

Note: I received this book from participating in a book tour with no expectation of a positive review.
