Making love in risky places sounds like fun, and Logan and Hunter are masters at it. But when they get caught at work their whole relationship, such as it is, collapses and they lose track of each other. This is a typical case of blaming the partner for what happened, at least for Hunter, and anger takes over instead of logical thinking. Or, I don’t know, maybe even letting his heart speak.

Logan was the more senior executive in their former workplace, and he is more interested in finding out what happened to Hunter. And why the man never responded to any of his messages. Luckily, Madame Evangeline is on the case and even though Logan hesitates, the chance of at least talking to his ex-lover and explaining what happened is worth any price.

Hunter is still too angry to be rational. He was fired by their homophobic boss and believes Logan got away with it unscathed. He let anger and hurt take over. As ever in these situations, it doesn’t change anything and he only hurts himself. He may believe he moved on with his life, but if he were honest, he’d have to admit he is still hung up on Logan.

This is a story about today’s corporate America, and two men who get lost in their need to have a career rather than follow their heart. Position and keeping up appearances is everything, never mind the human consequences. It is also super-hot and just a tad kinky. No real BDSM here, but Hunter likes telling Logan what to do and Logan likes being told. If you’re into contemporary stories about executives who don’t always use good judgment in their personal lives, and if you like the idea of Madame Evangeline bringing together two stubborn men who are lost without each other (but won’t admit it), you will probably like this story.

2.5 - 3 stars. I liked the book, but I wanted to like the characters more than I did. Plus, I could of done without the m/f scenes in the beginning. (so hardcore m/m fans like myself, be warned!)

No real angst; Kevin had doubts and concerns about himself, but he dealt with them rationally and relatively pain-free (the most emotion he showed was regret at hurting his ex-girlfriend). I had a harder time liking Teak for some reason.

The writing was good. I would read more of this author's m/m books in the future (providing I know about those sneaky m/f scenes!).… (plus d'informations)

This is another one that I remember reading right after [b:Hard as Teak|11862533|Hard as Teak|Margie Church|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1309215693s/11862533.jpg|16819311], back before I joined GoodReads. While I found [b:Hard as Teak|11862533|Hard as Teak|Margie Church|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1309215693s/11862533.jpg|16819311] enjoyable (but I don't remember exactly why) I disliked this one enough to completely delete it from my Kindle, which is why I never entered it here at GoodReads until I saw Amanda add it to her "to read" list and it jogged my memory. I don't think it would be fair to give it one star without stating a reason, so I'll give it two and those that know my taste in M/M romance (nothing too harsh or deep 90% of the time, angst and conflict that helps relationships grow and develop, lots of romance and good sex, no needy, door mat heroes) will probably want to stay away. *shrugs*… (plus d'informations)
