Thank you Mistress, may I please have another?
Still waiting on the drunken rooftop scene from "The Saint"...

And yes, I read it twice the same night it dropped.

All apologies to Erica Chilson for thinking that she would actually insult us with a bait and switch “back from the dead” trope. I was so angry thinking I knew what was going to happen, thinking oh, I see you coming a mile away and now I can’t get comfortable seeing this thing popping up and ruining the story. Yeah, it doesn’t happen. The story wasn’t ruined by back from the dead tropes. So, yay!

If you have started the series and decided to not progress past one of the earlier books because you didn't think you would be interested in the POV of the character this is the time to push forward. Just crack open the next one, give it a chapter or two and then you are hooked into a better lusher more brain twisting, WTF is going on here, who/what? OMG are they really going to do this? Erica pushes the boundaries and gives no fucks. She will write what she wants and you will gobble it up
and be filled for a good while.

If you haven’t been to Dominion in a while, well, you might need to go refresh yourself. If you are on the fence about this one thinking it’s just another POV of what you already know, with the same situations just told over again. Nope. This a back and forth with the past mixed with the present and it is NOT going over the same old events. You have no clue. Seriously.

M&M is a multi-generational LGBTQ saga about the founding families in a fiction New York city “Dominion”. It is NOT a generic BDSM Dark Romance. Don't let any of the tags fool you. These books are not to be taken lightly. These books are not for the timid, the faint of heart, and the people looking for an “easy read”. These books are for seasoned readers. This saga is a total mindfuck. It’s got ALL the feels. You get the angst, the ugly cries, the happy cries, the Squee’s, the fan yourself and hope no one notices, the WTF did I just read and yes, the urge to rip out your hair and go kiss your loved ones at night. Proceed with extreme caution. You only think you know what is going to happen, but this author has AGAIN made me feel foolish for even thinking that I thought I knew what was going to happen. This is the entire series.

First, this isn’t going to be an emotional torture porn book, but it will have you gutted, but along with gutted you will feel so many other wonderful feelings.

In Thief we get Boyd’s POV. Boyd who has been the guy who lived his entire life just trying to keep Dominion safe. Never allowed to live for himself. He is the misdirection to the misdirection’s. Oh, and he turns out to be a really interesting person. You will cry ugly tears for him, pray for him, hold your breath and just wish it all away for him, then you will cheer for him and everyone around him. Dominion has finally grown up.

I won’t get into it but if you can push past the first couple of chapters where you want to grab a pen and start writing out the genealogy chart of Dominion you will find yourself not putting it down. I mainlined this series over the past week just so I could sit in my home and read this book in ONE SITTING. Yup. Bathroom and kitchen breaks only. My kindle said it would take over 24 hours to read it, and if you look at my reading progress you will see that it took that long.

Please, this author needs to be recognized she needs to be celebrated and she needs to be on your list of books that you buy instead of just Kindle Unlimited read.

Oh, yeah, it's got some XXX spicy M/M and M/F light F/F in scenes but the sex is the least thing about it. Its not a "Mommy Porn" book. It's not BDSM in the current way it's been written but it is about the not putting a lable on the various shades on the sexual spectrum.

I don't know why I waited so long to read this. Every book I have ever read by Erica has totally blown me away. They may take a minute to sink into them, or they may grab you from the first page. When you want sold storytelling, solid characters and a deep, dark theme where you cannot possibly guess the plot in advance, go to Erica Chilson.

This one is a past/present where Miranda is waking up in a hospital bed, she has retrograde amnesia, and spends the book slowly regaining her memories. Told in the first person, the reader knows what Miranda knows. We are questioning what is happening just like she is, and like her, we are dependent upon the other characters to tell us what is going on when her memories aren't supplying the answers. Although, by the end of the book - even much more before then, we learn everything. The horror of what happened to Miranda and her struggle to regain herself after the fact made for a great read.

She is the leader of a mafia family, and the book deals with her relationship with her husband, husband's brother, and cousin/lover (not closely related cousins). The abuse she experienced at the hand of her husband and his father. These revelations take place over time and the story is told as current things happening and the flashbacks they reveal. As Miranda regains her memory she goes through a lot of pain over what has happened to her that put her in the hospital to begin with.

This was an excellent book that I would recommend to anyone looking for a standalone with a solid story, some erotic and LGBT themes, as well as solid character building. A truly dark, erotic fiction.
