This book is about a young girl named Holly who one day wants to go outside and play in the snow with her cat jasper, but she cannot because she can't find her red boots. However, she is able to find everything else that is red, and when she finally fins her boots all of the snow has melted. This is a good fantasy book because Holly is naming everything that is red, and losing your shoes is very applicable to everyone.
Genre: Realistic Fiction (my choice)

Good book, the colors are really bright which is awesome but it makes it hard to pick out just the red things. A little girl is looking for her red boots, she finds many other red things but not her boots. By the time she finds them the snow she wants to play in has melted, she must settle for jumping in puddles.

A mysterious package is delivered, two children fight over what is inside the box. Uttering many mines, they both agree it is a lion. A lion is a good thing to share. When they discover the present is for their next door neighbor, they use their father's tools to build a cage for a future lion.
