So we are back with another fun, flirty BBW book from the marvelous Ellen Whyte, and although she is a newer author to the BBW world (She is also the fantasy author K.L. Bone), her characters are spot on.

In this book we are introduced to Sophie Weston; the curvy chef that is hired to cater for tech tycoon Richard Cummings for a whole month, while Richard and his team work on a project, and from the beginning the sparks fly between them, and all is going good, until Richard's "troll" friends stick their over manicured claws in to their business.

I won't go on any further as I don’t want to spoil this gem of a book for you. To begin with, this book is novella length, but it doesn't feel like it, which is wonderful. The story and characters are well developed, and you are left wanting to know about about the other characters in the book *hint hint*

His Laughing Girl is a delightful story, which is why I give it 5 stars!

A cute, sweet read.

The heroine is smart and capable, while the hero is considerate and hunky. Lots of food, fun, family and friends. And dogs.

The hero and heroine had jobs that didn't magically disappear when they needed time together, which was nice, and made the story realistic.

It was an easy, entertaining story, which I enjoyed. If you want a relaxing book to snuggle up and spend an afternoon reading, this is a great choice!

Love, Laughter and Lots of Dogs by Ellen Whyte
The Winthrop Family #1

Sitting here as I contemplate what to write in my review I realize I have a happy smile on my face – why? Well, this was a book that was filled with light and laughter and good feelings. The main characters were people I liked and would gladly have as friends. I loved the fact that they were open, honest, in touch with their feelings and unafraid of expressing them. The story was deep and smart and told with care even though the actual romance of Cory and Kelly was pretty much smooth sailing. They supported one another, cared about others and loved…animals. Their friends were wonderful, the small town feel delightful, family support was there in abundance, the personal and professional goals of both realistic and…I just loved this book AND I can’t wait for the next one in this series. I see that it is a Winthrop family series but there are a number of male and female friends I would love to hear more about in, too.

This author can and does write well no matter what genre she takes on. I love her light romances but also love the other darker steamier books she has written.

Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

5 Stars

Short fun story! The female lead is a strong, confident, witty, kind curvaceous woman. The make lead was strong, clever, rich, kind and has a playboy past. But when these two come together you feel tension from situations evaporate and you smile/laugh at the banter.
