The Library Book by Tom Chapin and Michael Mark
Listened to this story on a rainy day and love what it's all about.
There is a song also included about the library book.
Starts out with a rainy day and what ever will the kids do. They head to the library and do certain things there that make them happy.
Rhyming story and silly things they find.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Chapin, T. & Mark, M. (2018). The Library Book. New York: Scholastic.

This rhyming story, based on a song, tells the story of a little girl who is stuck at home on a rainy day. She resolves to go to the library instead of moping at home. Once she’s there a parade of literary characters erupt from their books, imploring her to choose their stories to take home with her. She sits and reads while the characters fill the library, capering, and prancing and disrupting the librarian so much that she forgets to be quiet herself. Finally, the girl chooses Winnie the Pooh to take home and read. The story ends with her and Pooh himself on her bed, reading the book. This book is suitable for children ages 4-8 years.… (plus d'informations)

On a rainy day, a kid goes down to the library to visit his friends, the books. The music to the bouncy little song ("Library Song," from the album Moonboat by Tom Chapin) is printed on the endpapers. The little kid has brown skin, glasses, and an afro.

The Library Book by Tom Chapin and Michael Mark and illustrated by Chuck Groenink is easily my new favorite picture book. It illustrates the wonder and fun that kids can have in a library with their character-friends.
