2537 The Archduke and the Assassins: Sarajevo, June 28th 1914, by Lavender Cassels (read 2 Oct 1993) This is not a bad book although it is mostly drawn from secondary sources. In the bibliography the author says "a full and eminently readable account" of the leading personalities during the period covered by this book can be found in The Fall of the House of Hapsburg, by Edward Crankshaw, which I read Dec 7, 1969, and at that time I said the events recounted therein seemed very familiar: I have read a lot in the subject over the years.
