I really enjoyed this romance. I voluntarily chose to review this. I've given it a 4.5* rating. This was interesting with a little bit of women's rights mixed in this military romance. While not for the under 18 readers, there are lots of interesting things going on in this story. It's been in my TBR pile for a while, so was glad to get to it.

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. I did enjoy it, however I have to admit that for a suspense novel it was not really fireworks exciting. But I was still intrigued wanted to know who did it.

rabck box frombookstogive 03/11; first in a trilogy about a murder mystery - who killed foster mother Franny? Her bones were unearthed on Jed's property during an archeological dig, so everything seems to be pointing to him. But Gwyn, who is leasing land from Jed is determined to prove the sheriff is wrong. In the end, nothing is resolved except for Gwyn and Jed marrying - and the story about the other two foster children, who were yanked from the home when Franny disappeared continues.

Series: The Return to Caddo Lake Trilogy
Review:

"Uncertain Fate" by Ken Casper was the last in this series 'The return to Caddo Lake Trilogy' which was a good read. "Nineteen years ago, Frannie Granger disappeared . . ." Now, we know from the other series that the secret is out but still their remains "who is responsible for what happened on her last hectic morning so long ago?" Jed Louis who is heir to the plantation house and the oldest of the three foster children that were raised by Frannie is thought to be guilty by the sheriff for what all has taken place. Now, this is where I say you must pick up "Uncertain Fate" to see how this will all turn out. If you are into a good mystery series 'The Return to Caddo Lake Trilogy' will be a good read and I would definitely recommend "Uncertain Fate" as a good read because it is the ending of this series.… (plus d'informations)
