An easy to read atlas for young children. Maps include some geographical features such as mountain ranges and/or bodies of water. Some cultural aspects of Canada and its provinces are included. A useful "What is a Map" and "How do I Use an Atlas" section at the beginning.

The Children's Atlas of Canada is aimed at younger children (age 6 and up) and Scholastic has succeeded in providing an engaging and accessible guide to Canada. All included maps are lively, with a solid selection of geographic and cultural facts presented in a visually playful way. The overall design of the atlas is attractive and easily browsable.

A Canadian atlas for children aged 6 and up, newly published in 2006. It begins with map concepts and skills, including a map of the world, a map of Canada and information on the country's history. Maps of every province and territory include historical and cultural information, Canada's mountains, lakes and rivers, cities and towns, industries, natural resources, plants and animals, roads, railways and airports, and more. First nations and other ethnic groups are included.
An excellent reference for home or classroom, from grade one to three.… (plus d'informations)
