A short, highly readable account of the goddess Kali, one of the Hindu pantheon. Not a scholarly exposition, just a short description of the myths and their meaning. In fact, it was almost enough to make me want to become a Kali worshipper! She is certainly much more interesting than many of the gods more familiar to the west, and it made me realize exactly how creative early cultures were.
