There are many excellent WWI poems written by soldiers who died in service but unfortunately, many of the poems in this book are not enjoyable.

Curious - in every sense of the word! - Canadiana. Brian Busby reads his way through an eclectic array of genres spanning a generous century-plus of Canadian publishing. Scholarly, thought-provoking, and often very funny reviews shine a light on the forgotten tomes in the darker corners of the library. Some deserve their fate; some don't, and Busby doesn't hold back his punches, or his enthusiastic recommendations. Quotes throughout amuse, enlighten, awe, and occasionally horrify - the writer includes as his parting gift to the reader an excerpt from Donna Steinberg's over-hyped 1983 novel "I Lost it All in Montreal" which might well be a top contender for Worst Sex Scene in a Canadian Novel Ever. Yes, indeed! My ultimate verdict: As far as books about books go, this is a gem.… (plus d'informations)
