This is a collection of articles written for the 'Chronicle & Echo,our local paper (now defunct) by Alan Burman. All are of great interest but of particular note is the one detailing the history of Northampton Castle,one of the most important in the country. Our Town Council has always been of a philistine disposition and even in recent years have been determined on demolishing many of the fine historical buildings in the area. Even by their standards the Victorians who demolished the last portions of our Castle were vandals of astonishing stupidity as they did this merely to build a railway Station on top of it.
