I give the book 3,5 stars & the book cover is excellent, beautiful and intriguing!

The book is about a boy who all his life suffers from accidents that are drawn to him and tend to happen only to him. Billy is lonely and has no friends, he wants to be busy and all his parents can suggest him is to find a friend to hang around, rather than come along and help with something as they believe the son will bring a bad luck and something will go wrong & bigger mess will appear...Of course, if finding a friend would be easy if Billy would not, in fact live out of nowhere..where adults seem not to see this fact..One by one his accidents starts to become weirder and weirder, showing terrible/scary message behind.
He is lucky to find a friend - a cat that lets him know there is language between humans and cats.

I liked all the characters, see how his serous mum would act each time of the situation.
This is an adventurous book, which leads the reader into mystery.

I really liked this book ! It reminded me of The Talisman / Sleepwalkers by Stephen King . I think this is a great book for younger readers .

Loved this introduction to what is sure going to be a remarkable series. It is a unique story with memorable characters that stay with you long after the last word is read.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review via LibraryThing.

I loved this first book in a series called "The Shadowland Saga", about an injured boy coming of age. It's like a tale from the "dark side" got mixed up in the 60's. It is suspenseful, and I can't wait to read what comes next!
