Enjoyed . Humorous bits, real life historical characters and events an easy to follow plot, it not simplistic. Needs more parrot and the ending troubled me a bit

Not only were these extraordinary people fascinating, but the writing was inspired. There is something compelling about a well turned phrase...

This was a real quick read. I tend to like memoirs and this one is a bit more interesting than most because of all those years listening to the family talk about National Review etc. But it's also a good story because of the public life they led and because Buckley doesn't hold back. He writes as much about family disagreements and quirks as he does about his love for his parents.
