Quite a short instructional book with good tips on anchoring characters in settings and giving the reader a broader experience. I found the examples given and rewrites very useful in understanding this process. Something I will remember when going through my own writing process.

Excellent overview of the fiction writing process. Subdivided into clear steps, each of which has instructive examples and helpful exercises/worksheets. The first time working through writing a novel this way was hard, but it was worth it in terms of savings on re-writes later on.

This book will make a good companion longer term, just for looking up certain parts that I'm unsure of in any given story.

I like action and was looking for something different. I found it. A great action packed story where I was always guessing what was coming next, just like Alex.
