This is a practical book on how the gifts of the Holy Spirit can renew the lives of individuals and revitalize the church's ministry. The author gives an in-depth description and solid biblical foundation for 32 spiritual gifts found in Scripture. More importantly, he provides ways for each reader to discover his or her spiritual gift.
3 stars indicates that it was just OK. There is an interesting discussion of spiritual gifts which are defined from the Bible. But there are a couple of problems:
1. The book is very negative in defining what is/isn't a spiritual gift. I'm not sure why.
2. The book seems to "stand alone" with the Bible and doesn't refer to any other literature on spiritual gifts. Was this created without any other study?? There are other books on spiritual gifts that provide references to other works and empirical (or simply descriptive) analysis of the categories and questions.
My bottom line is that the questionnaire seemed transparent and not likely to help you discern anything new. Mildly interesting perhaps, but not enough to recommend that you take the survey results as "your gifts".… (plus d'informations)
