'The Bruno Trilogy' is part of the recent output from the Olympia Press, an imprint very reduced compared with the previous manifestation of that name. Bruno appears to be (have been?) a prolific writer of erotic literature, and his work is surprisingly difficult to get hold of, considering its not-too-impressive quality. It's reasonably well written, but in this case at least the plot is at best perfunctory. The slim volume calls itself a 'trilogy', implying links of plot and characters, but although the first two parts are so linked as to be contiguous, the third part is quite disconnected. The work describes the misadventures of a young lady who seriously upset a fellow pupil at school, now a dominatrix. She has been inveigled as a young adult into the clutches of the dominatrix, with the help of a lascivious male, and is severely chastised before being sold in the Middle East as a slave. The plot dwindles further, and by the end the story really just peters out. Not far short of pulp fiction, in my opinion.… (plus d'informations)
