Selected this audiobook because I enjoyed the narrator, Barbara Rosenblat, on a previous book. The story has an interesting premise, but I found it did not progress much and the repeated scenes were very thinly stretched out. There were, however, some lines that made me laugh out loud. I also enjoyed that the story was about women who were above age 55. So it wasn't a total waste of time, it was humorous, light, and I stuck with it. Definitely, the reader, Rosenblat, made it more enjoyable than if I had just read the paperback. The main character, Annie, is quite full of herself, yet at the same time dumb. Sometimes I just yelled "What? You idiot!" Helped pass the time in the car, but probably would not select anything else by this author.

Anny Applebaum is sixty-five year old woman who not only recognizes her wants, needs and desires .. she goes for 'em!! YAY ANNY!! As it happens, I'm sixty-five years old and I'm *thrilled* to have found a book that portrays women my age as strong, independent, outspoken, talented, determined and filled with a lust for life!! I enjoyed every moment of The Viagra Diaries; it made me laugh (uproariously!) and I shed a few tears as well! At various points, along the way, I experienced irritation, anticipation, frustration, disappointment and absolute delight; what more could one ask of a book! As I often do, I read the audiobook version of this book . . the narrator, Barbara Rosenblat, possesses an impressive gift; her talent brought Anny, Marv and a myriad of characters to life! I highly recommend this book . . especially in audiobook format (you won't be sorry!) to any and all who are looking for strong female characters who reach for the stars! FIVE well-deserved stars.… (plus d'informations)
