May Witwit, an Iraqi university lecturer who left the country when life got too dangerous, has chosen to discuss L Paul Bremer III with Malcolm McConnell’s “My Year in Iraq: The Struggle To Build A Future of Hope ", on FiveBooks (http://five-books.com) as one of the top five on her subject - Living in Iraq during the invasion, saying that:

“… Paul Bremer was head of the Coalition Provisional Authority which was the provisional government following the invasion of Iraq. When I read his book the thing that caught my eye was that there were some authorities in Iraq that communicated with Bremer behind closed doors because they didn’t want to tarnish their image with the Iraqi people…”.
