It takes only a little more than an hour for this adult wounded-hero Beauty-and-the-beast between 21-year-old waitress Harper Young and 31-year-old composer Erik Duvall.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A Beauty for the Beast par Emma Bray

Lily follows her dad as he goes to the back alleys to pay off his debts. When she hears the cocking of a gun, she offers herself as collateral for her dad's debts. The man he owes steps out of the shadows and agrees. He takes Lily to his home where she fights him, but both are attracted to the other. Will he let her go? Will he keep her forever?

I enjoyed this short story. I liked Lily and Colin. She is feisty and not afraid of him. She is more afraid of her response to him. Colin likes her feistiness and is afraid of her leaving. In true Beauty and the Beast style, when she leaves, he realizes he is in love with her and cannot live without her. She realizes the same. All that is to be decided is whom goes after whom. I was fun to watch.

There are a few typos that pulled me out of the story at the beginning. The story is good--Beauty and the Beast--my favorite fairy tale. This made me happy at the end of a rough day.… (plus d'informations)
