The Atlas of Archaeology par K (Consultant Editor) Branigan
As Atlas, presents a dual chronicle of past civilizations and contemporary archaeology as a science. Brief biographies of scholars and adventurers to whom we trace the exacting methods now employed. The authors of the regionally-divided chapters are modern British scholars. Excavations have been chosen for their impact on the evolution of this science. Each site is examined from two viewpoints: Techniques employed, and reconstruction of the way of life revealed. Covers sites throughout the globe.
