Ironically, too much sex.

I enjoyed the first book very much which led me to this one. I get it is erotic fiction but the draw from the first story is the mystery of the Kracken and the shadow organization controlling the team. I will give the next book a looksy because I want to know how that plays out, but I almost DNFd this book because it was all sex and very little substance. The characters themselves are terrific. Trinity is a very complex person, I would have loved to get to know better. Zac is better than his "spanko" prediliction; there was just no exploration of his personality beyond poorly depicted BDSM. All the team members are great alpha men with plenty to enjoy. I detest books with more potential than outcome and this series has so MUCH potential.… (plus d'informations)

Overall, as a fascinating insight into how a woman becomes enthralled with a sadistic and violent man, this book probably deserves four stars; I enjoyed it except for the mistakes which kept pulling me out of the story into a frustrated reality. Aside from the spelling errors (tact instead of tack, prize rather than prise, for example) the anachronisms were particularly irritating showing a flawed attitude to research. If you choose to set a story in a specific time, it helps the reader if you stay there.… (plus d'informations)
