3.5 stars. A lot a great ideas regarding Christianity participating in the wider perennial wisdom tradition. Seeing Jesus as a wisdom teacher brought new light to my reading of Scripture. Her take is admittedly imaginative which is not all bad but in areas changes or discards the larger Christian tradition too easily, and in some areas assumes too much. (Usually in areas that I would see benefit by a healthy tension between tradition and mysticism). Overall, greatly appreciated this work.

I have had this one for a while finding it in a used bookstore. As I grieved a dear friend’s sudden death, I picked it up. It was perfect because it addressed grief and the hope we do have regardless of life situations.
