Clare Blanchard

A great mystery, which is made even better by its characters. Jana Dvorska and Ivan Dambersky are both fantastic; they feel very real, very authentic. I'm looking forward to see them together again.

This is a very well plotted story, one that will keep you glued to the book until you finish it, and it's also well written and well researched. You won't be disappointed.

The two investigators on the case are special in a good way, their superior seems to be a political puppet, and there are more twists and red herrings than usual. Well crafted with an urgency and an almost frustrating level of suspense. Call it a psychological thriller in Eastern Europe where the sins of the past are never far away. Not for the squeamish, but not for the usual reasons. Difficult to review without an inadvertent spoiler!
