Now I have to say I didn't read the description before I actually started reading this book (another bookbub find) and I told my BF that this book was so like cinderella it's crazy! supernatural and awesomeness .........then I read the description and that's exactly it - now I have to read all the rest!

A perfect Cinderella story with a twist. I really, truly enjoyed this book. I liked how Loupe and Etienne fell in love before the ball and I totally loved the ending. Also the three wolf puppies were just too cute.

Synopsis: Shade Renard has been an apprentice for a lot of years, but now she and her familiar, a pixie, have struck out on their own. Her first case if from a vampire who has her sign a contract that could cost her life if she reveals anything about him. To get his black book back may cost Shade her life.
Review: This is an interesting story that sets the stage for more books to come. It also shows the balance between doing what's right and what's expedient.

Synopsis: Shade is pushed by her mentor, Hazel, to take a case that brings in people she likes, including cops and werewolves. She has to decide if she can actually mete out justice to people she likes.
Review: This is a thought provoking story about justice versus friendship.
