(read in 1939) The Guide to Catholic Liteerature 1888-1940 tells us the author was born in 1884 in Milwaukee, earned his M.A. from St. Lawrence College in 1902, and in that year joined the Capuchins and did philosophy and theology at the Capuchin Seminary, and was ordained in 1909. This book recounts his experiences in 1918-1919 with the 301st, 302nd, and 303rd Motor Transport Corps and the 39th Ry. Engrs in France.
