An interesting enough read ( not that that is meant as negative)

As the author (actually, lecturer, as this book follows a series of radio talks in 1961) says on a number of occasions, one cannot readily convey the impact of oral advocacy by the written word, particularly if aimed at people many decades previous.

Having said that, I think the author has done an admirable job

For my own memory if nothing else (of the lawyers I know )

- my dad said that Graeme Morris had the panache when it came to the written word and Peter Rowland as to the spoken ( I can vouch for the former)
- Cedric Hampson QC was the doyen
- Pat Keane and Walter Sofronoff, exceptional

I was never a trial lawyer so I am sure tha there are others out there in the Qld courts
