I enjoyed this one - shy, kinda insecure heroine with slight tendencies towards martyrdom, but not so significant that this lands on the angst shelf. Likeable hero, though I almost despaired of him being a sucker for Louisa. Some... interesting... Regency Regina George moments, to be sure. The heroine is young and pretty, but being poor and shy AND having an unfriendly aunt and cousin makes her a bit of a wallflower. I would have preferred more angst (and some steam), but overall a pleasant read.… (plus d'informations)

Wow! This is a book that one could take on a long airplane trip that would keep you busy the entire trip with over 1000 pages of delightful reading to enjoy. I have read two of the books and plan to read the rest as I highly recommend the two read already.

Darcy’ Burke’s A Duke is Never Enough was a delight when I read it and one I rated a high four stars…I love this authors books. I thoroughly enjoyed the H/h both and their story as Marcus tried to right wrongs.

The other book read was The Spy’s Fake Bride by Jackie Barbosa. She is an author I have not read before but would gladly read again. Thomas Pearce is a new diplomat sent to save the illegitimate daughter of William Pitt. He travels to France, is enchanted, and has to get Sabina Rousseau and her two big horses safely to England as his first official mission. That the heat level mentioned for this story was “high” was oh so true! Loved the H/h and their story!

Did I enjoy what I read? Definitely!
Do I recommend the anthology? Yes

Thank you to Darcy Burke for the ARC – This is my honest review.

The story of several days in the life of Jane Bennet covering her marriage to Bingley. Read how Jane comes into her own as Mistress of Netherfield as she copes with the problem that is Caroline.
An enjoyable quick read.

In this P&P variation, a letter from Elizabeth to Mrs Gardiner which mentioned the likeable Wickham results in her rushing to Longbourn to tell her story, and her connection to the Darcys.
An enjoyable and well-written story.
As this a novella events do proceed at quite a lively pace. I admit I would have preferred a longer story to have more of the Mary Bennet storyline
