If you love hand made stuff - everything from chandeliers to fabric items - you'll love looking at the beautifully photographed Paris workshops in this book. The writing is good enough too, but I'll be picking it up again and again for the pictures. Wonderfully done. It's the next best thing to being there, well, at least for now.
Loved her other two books so much, I HAD to read this one too. It's just as good as the one about Paris, with lots of information about where to find an eclectic mix of wonderful things for yourself and your home. If I ever get to Amsterdam, this little book will be going with me!
If I ever get to go to Paris, I will be taking this book with me. It's full of ideas and information on where to find hidden gems....the shops, workshops and studios, scattered all over Paris, the type of places only the locals would know about.
What a lovely read, and it's not often that I READ a coffee table book! It's full of wonderful inspirational thoughts and beautiful photography. Everything about this book is just right. It's a very honest account of a young woman's professional and emotional journey to find her place in the world. I loved the conversational text and found her journey interesting. The icing on the cake for me, was that it ended with a quote from my favourite character, from one of my favourite television series....Chris (In the Morning) Stevens, from Northern Exposure, perfect!… (plus d'informations)
