Judith Benhamou-Huet

This book is a photo essay about the needleworkers in India today. The photos are large close-ups of projects, or stitches or rooms of people working. I was left feeling like I had wandered into a workshop peeking through windows and doors at a brisk pace. I liked it and think that this book is an interesting addition to my library. Be warned however that there is NO INSTRUCTION, nor is there MUCH EXPLANATION here. There is however a short essay in english in the front and a translation in french in the back. There are PAGE NOTES IN THE BACK which I personally hate- its all the flipping back in forth. Why Why Why?… (plus d'informations)
