Excellent resource for homeschooling in high school Read it just in time for #1 to start Jr. High--7th grade. Planning for college begins in high school and planning for high school begins in 7th grade.
Lots of perspective and experiences shared from a recognized expert. Bell is helpful without being pedantic or prescriptive.

An appalling and utterly disagreeable book. Please note that this review is not a personal attack on the author, and reviewers that engage in such a thing do themselves and their position on the subject a great disservice.

And yet this book condemns itself, and its author, without the need to attack Debra Bell’s personage. For example, her belief in the power of crystals should alert anyone who wants to seriously approach the subject of drug policy that the arguments in this book are not wholly based on reason. And this is but one example, and there are many more, but I will leave this review with two final thoughts.

Do all cannabis users really deserve to be arrested? According to this book you may be tempted to think not. Not when she admits to having used cannabis herself (once). And not when you consider that the experiences related in this book, if they are true, do not reflect the experiences of most people’s with cannabis.

Secondly, if Cannabis explains her sons bad behaviour, how can the author explain the fact millions of people that use cannabis do not behave so badly? She doesn't. Yet these people are in danger of arrest.

This book is prohibitionist, and not a convincing one at that. It will neither inform nor enlighten. There are more intelligent books out there; avoid like the plague.
