Ravi Batra’s latest book, "End Unemployment Now," will likely provoke controversy. There are sure to be many who will disagree with his assessment of the causes of the nation’s current economic ills and his proposals for their cure. The strident tone of the book will also anger some. Nonetheless, the book is worth reading. Batra explains economics in terms lay people can understand. He offers clear explanations for the present state of the economy and offers straightforward solutions. He points to monopoly capitalism as the main culprit. He describes monopoly capitalism as a system dominated by giant corporations. He advocates for a return to free markets and competitive capitalism. The book cogently puts forth Batra’s explanation of the evils of monopoly capitalism and his plan for how competitive capitalism can eliminate debt, poverty, and unemployment. Batra’s claims for a cure of our economic ills may sound idealistic, but one should first read the book before judging his proposals. Batra’s perspective is worthy of consideration if we are serious about creating an economy that is beneficial for all and not only for those at the top of the financial pyramid.… (plus d'informations)
