This was a fun fast mystery. I am hoping this is not the last I will see of Sierra Lavotini.

Sierra Lavotini is a stripper with a heart of gold and I can't wait to see what she does next.

First in the Sierra Lavotini series, in which Sierra, an exotic dancer in a Florida club, seeks to help her friend Denise, a bartender at the same club. First Denise’s dog is kidnapped, then they find a dead body in Denise’s apartment and someone’s shooting at Sierra and Denise as well. When Denise vanishes, the cops think she’s taken off, but Sierra is worried that Denise’s drug-lord ex husband has done away with her and sets out to find her on her own. A muddle of a book, very unsure of what it's supposed to be, a book about investigating possible death treats to a film star or a romance involving a society girl and really with neither working very well. Readable but nothing very impressive.
