A fast read. Roy is a mental patient who is inspired by the real world Roy Rogers. He is a very smart yet seriously damaged man, and he ends up investigating the murder of a priest at the Sunrise institution that he is staying at. The novel is set in the mid-1950s and depicts mental institutions in a favorable and mostly accurate way.
