- He has edited a monograph on Argentine cinema (1986), a critical filmography of South American Cinema (1996), translated a memoir of the tango (1988), and prepared a three-hour radio documentary on political film censorship West, East, and South (CBC Radio IDEAS, 1985). He has also managed international film and human rights projects and worked as a translator, interpreter, and English as a Second Language instructor. Since the 2000s, his work has focused on early cinema, French cinema between the wars and the films of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet. For Caboose Books he has translated a selection of essays from André Bazin's What is Cinema? (2009), Jean-Luc Godard's Introduction to a True History of Cinema and Television (2014) and a number of other works.
