Despite fascinating subject it is not a very interesting read. Some of the details are excessive. In addition, although there is a list of references in the end, there are no much of those in the text and so it's not clear where particular story or statement came for - making me suspicious that it was just author imagination (I could be completely wrong here, of course). Fascinating subject though.
