This book was a good read. It had murder, suspense, family love, romance and even a devoted dog. I haven't read the first book yet, but everything you needed to know was explained in this book so I didn't feel like I missed anything. I liked that family was brought into the story which was well developed. The story reads like more than just a mystery and it held my attention to the very end. I received this free from NetGalley for a honest review.

The other being Law and Order: Criminal Intent.

Yet, despite not having read the first book in this series, I instantly attached myself to Claire and Nick. I could tell and feel the connection they shared. I liked that it was a damaged relationship. It made them more human. Claire can kick some butt. She is a bad ass. This book felt like I was watching an episode of Law and Order:SVU. It was gritty, realistic, plot-worthy, strong lead characters, and a high note ending.… (plus d'informations)
