Holy hotness

Jensen Blake is the hottest jerk around. Seriously he is straight up intolerable, but you know it has to be for a reason so I found myself sucked in by his hotness and wanting to find out his back story. Cami is a sweet school teacher who has had a rough few days and meeting Jenson just adds to her stress. They butt heads, argue, share some steamy moments fueled by hate and passion. I loved this book so much I will definitely be rereading it.

Mysterious brothers known to be ruthless and protective, but at times have other aspects that they only allows those closest to them to see. In this story we get to see the youngest of the Locke brothers, Aston, and one night he makes eye contact with Kadence. Deep down Kadence knows that Aston is damaged, trouble, and she should be scared, but there is something that she sees in him that doesn't scare her at all. Attraction is high and the draw to each other is inexplainable, but when trouble comes calling he would do anything to protect what is his and Kadence is definitely his. Strung par Victoria Ashley

Strung was an adorably sweet brother's-best-friend novel. I enjoyed the characters, the romance, and the angst. It was insta-lust for Teagan and Micah, but their desire was forbidden by Alexander, Teagan's big brother and Micah's best friend. Watching then fight their desire was wonderful because you knew they would break. It was just a matter of who would break first. And while I love the protective older brother trope, I had the pushy best (girl) friend trope.

I've noticed it in many romance novels that the FMC tends to have a bff that is pushy, almost to the point of toxicity and sometimes well beyond. My BFF would tell me the hard truths I didn't want to hear, but she would never try to push me to do anything, no matter what. I hate that this is how FBFF's are often portrayed. I also hate when children (especially adult children) cave to their overbearing parents' whims. And I know that it happens and why; I just hate seeing it in novels.

Other than my personal pet peeves, I very much enjoyed the story. It was sweet but sexy, angsty, but not to the point of over-kill. The spice was mild but good. The narrators brought it all to life; I felt with them. Well done; I will check out more from the author.… (plus d'informations)
