This is the third book in the supernatural sisters, and we finally get to see the nerdy book, loving youngest sister, who is a professor get together with the guardian angel. We know she’s a professor over at Harvard and she really wants to study having apprenticeships between human and supernatural societies to create a better understanding of both societies. However, things aren’t going so well, and she needs to move into a new apartment. Our guardian angel gives her space in his place. The problem is everybody knows these two have a hots for each other and just can’t talk about it. And of course, moving in together means they become involved. The downside is that Box is given Olive as an official duty to guard. He tries to tell his boss we’ve been friends we live together, but they’re like do this or you’re fired. You see Olive has decided she’s going to do 10 things that are scary. She assigned her students this project but thinks if I’m going to give it to them why don’t I do it myself. This book, of course involves sex, singing, doing crazy unexpected things, and things that scare you. This book is just like the others. It’s cozy, it’s a little spicy, maybe a little more than spicy… they get into piercings. But it is fun. I really like this series and I hope it isn’t over because I really want the book about their succubus friend.… (plus d'informations)

I like the idea of the world this book takes place in but I wasn't impressed by the execution. Also, the sex scenes were like abruptly cut off? Like, sex would be about to start, a character would have a thought about the about-to-happen-sex and then the chapter would end??? Like you have two naked people about to have delicious witchy and shifter sex and you're leaving me out of it? Not for me.

Olive & Bax, eek! They are so cute together and I love how they both came to the same realization at the same time. On a side note, the idea of a magic ink for tattoos that guarantees your tattoo will last forever and never fade is so cool and makes me wish it was a reality. I don't know if there will be further books in this series but if there are, I will read them.

Zura Johnson did a great job narrating this novel and I will definitely look for more books narrated by Zura in the future.… (plus d'informations)

Not Your Crush’s Cauldron by April Asher
Supernatural Singles series #3. Witchy paranormal romance. Can be read as a standalone but better as part of the series of the three sisters.
Olive Maxwell prefers teaching about the supernatural world rather than taking part in it. She gets a bit of a wake up call career wise, and after assigning her college students a project designed to nudge them out of their comfort zones, she decides to take her own assignment to heart and make changes in her own life. First on the list of changes is moving in with Baxter Donovan, a long-time crush, friend, and tattooed, motorcycle-riding guardian Angel.
Bax Donovan believes his charges should have free will, so his records aren’t all top marks. His newest assignment is Olive, who is usually low-risk. He’s more than willing to spend time helping her expand her boundaries and try new things. Bax needs to remember to keep his hands to himself while they are both trying new things. He has his own rules of Conduct to follow even though it’s going to be one of the hardest things he’s ever done.

Amusing, sexy, and empowering. A reminder to get out and try your own new things.
Bax and Olive have some serious issues but by putting the worry aside, living and loving, and trying new things, they feel better able to deal with obstacles.
Olive’s list is crazy! I’m not going to be an acrobatic silks performer, nor am I going anywhere near the rest of her list. But a little fantasy love play may be doable. Inspiring, if only…
