Kelly Asbury (1960–2020)

A twenty-year veteran of the animation industry, Asbury has worked as a director, storyboard artist, art director and designer for some of Hollywood's most popular animated films. In 2002, Asbury made his directorial debut with the Academy Award nominated animated feature, Spirit -- Stallion of the afficher plus Cimarron. Asbury is a noted author and illustrator of several children's books. A native of Beaumont, Texas, and graduate of the California Institute of the Arts, Asbury resides in Pasadena, California, with his wife, Loretta Weeks.
